Vidic: I Want to Keep My United Number at Inter

Nemanja Vidic, known for wearing the number 5 for Serbia and 26 at Spartak Moscow, expressed his desire to don the number 15 at Inter Milan—the same number he wore during his illustrious Manchester United career.

“I would like to have number 15, my number,” Vidic shared during his unveiling at Inter. “But I haven’t spoken to anyone about it, and I will be happy with it or without it.”

Speculation about Vidic possibly captaining Inter following Javier Zanetti’s retirement has been dismissed by the defender, who is focused on earning his place in the squad.

“First of all, I have to earn a place in the team,” he explained. “I want to prepare myself well in pre-season. For me, it’s more important to settle and perform well. I haven’t even thought about the captaincy.”
